Witness & Evangelism

NCM / Barnes & Noble Charity Book Fair – The Norcross Co-Op is having its 2nd Annual Charity Book Fair in conjunction with Barnes & Noble at the Forum.  The Norcross Co-Op receives a portion of the evenings qualifying sales (non-café items).  NCM uses the funds raised during this event to support its ESOL and School Supply Drive programs for the coming year.  Please ask Sandra, Rodney or Diane for a book fair voucher or visit the Witness & Evangelism bulletin board in the hallway.  There are a few vouchers in a “Take Me” folder on the bulletin board. Barnes & Noble has been very generous this year by allowing us to count sales made during a whole week rather than just one evening.  So, please take your book fair voucher and shop at Barnes & Noble anytime from Sunday, October 31st through Saturday evening, November 6th.   Take voucher home to share with friends, family, neighbors and co-workers.  We’d love to have a huge turnout for this event.  Please help us spread the word and the vouchers.  This is a great opportunity to buy holiday gifts and pick up your own books and music and help one of our primary charities in Norcross.  NCM will have a booth and will sponsor guest readers on Saturday evening, November 6th from 6:30PM until 8PM.  Stop by that evening if you can to meet the staff and volunteers of NCM and to hear special people share beautiful stories from the stage in the Children’s Department of the store.

Simon Evening of Giving – The Norcross Cooperative Ministry invites you to participate in the Simon Evening of Giving.  The event is an exclusive by ticket only shopping event at the Mall of Georgia on Sunday evening, November 21, 2004 from 6:30PM until 9PM.  The Mall will close at its normal time and re-open for ticket holders only at 6:30PM.  The food court merchants will be open.  The stores will run special sales and discounts during this event. – Please visit the Witness & Evangelism bulletin board in the hallway.  There are flyers in a “Take Me” folder that outlines the toy and gift items most needed to help the Norcross Co-Op provide Christmas gifts to over 3,000 children.  If you’d like more information on the NCM Holiday Assistance Program at NCM please ask any of the NPC Youth or any member of the Witness & Evangelism Committee.

Norcross Cooperative Ministry – NCM needs volunteers to serve the more than 1,000 families who visit the Co-Op each month.  If you have any time available during weekdays, please contact Shirley Cabe at the Norcross Co-Op.  She’d love to give you a tour of the facility, answer any questions that you might have, and sign you up for training alongside a seasoned volunteer.  She especially needs help on Wednesdays from 9:30AM until 3:00PM.  You may work 2 or 4 hour or more blocks of time.  Working at NCM is a wonderful opportunity to re-invest time in the community.  Please consider serving the community in this way.  Thank you.
