Text Box: It’s Pumpkin Patch Time! “Many hands make light work” - even if the pumpkin is huge! Sign up sheets are posted on the main bulletin board in the Narthex. Please consider where you can be of the most help and sign up.
PUMPKIN PATCH SET UP DAY: Saturday, October 9, 2004 10:00 a.m.
Everyone come join in! We will be setting up pallets, spreading hay, making goodie bags, setting up tents, stringing lights, and getting ready for delivery day. Please contact Bill Brown or Marc Karasek if you can help get the materials to the church and set up. People with trucks or trailers especially needed.
PUMPKIN PATCH DELIVERY DAY: Sunday, October 10, 2004 12:30
We were able to reschedule delivery day from a Wednesday to a Sunday. The date is October 10th. The time is 12:30. So, come to church dressed to unload pumpkins! This is a fun day, but the day that takes the most hands to unload those hundreds of pumpkins! Since we are starting later in the month this year, we will have 40% less pumpkins to unload—but that is still a lot of pumpkins! We will have the Patch ready for opening day, which is the next day, Monday, October 11th.
PUMPKIN PATCH OPENING DAY: Monday, October 11, 2004 9:00 a.m.
The folks who are working with scheduling the preschools may very well have some kids coming on the first operating day of the patch. This is a Gwinnett County school holiday, so YOUTH plan to come and earn hours! We will probably still have some mini-pumpkins to wash and decorations to set up. This will be the first day of shift work, so please check the sign up sheets that are posted. Text Box: Wednesday Night Activities
by Laura Lankford

Wednesday night activities will resume on September 8 beginning with dinner served from 5:45—6:30pm. This yummy home-cooked meal with everything from salad to dessert has got to be the best bargain in town. The price for youth and adults is $4.00, kindergarteners through 5th graders is $2.00, and preschoolers eat for free, with a family maximum charge of $15.00. We still can use some kitchen help with set-up and clean-up, so if you can be available to help once very six weeks, please contact one of the following team captains: Laura Lankford, Deb Bain, Linda Smith, Pam Bartlett, Sandy Plyler, Matt Fry or Van Badeaux.

From 6:30 to 7:30 option for youth and adults include Bible Study, every-other-week visits to do volunteer work at Norcross Cooperative Ministries, and drama rehearsals. If you are interested in being part of NPC’s drama ministry, please contact Tanya Carol. Nursery for preschoolers is provided at this time.

Also at 6:30, we will begin Praise Kids for kindergarteners through 5th- graders. We will explore ways to praise God through music, crafts, games, prayer, drama, and Bible stories. Any adult or youth who are interested in participating or leading these activities on an occasional basis, please contact Laura Lankford.

Finally, Chancel Choir rehearsal begins at 7:30 and new members are welcome at any time. If you’d like more information, contact Jeremy Wirths. Nursery is not currently being provided at this time but can be if anyone has a need for it.
