Leader: What shall we return unto the Lord for all the good things God has done for us?

All: We will lift up the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord.

Leader: We have been given the gift of faith.

Families of Leeonia Langley and Elise Birmingham: Passed on to us by the Saints who now live with God in the Kingdom of Heaven.

All: We shall likewise pass on the gifts of compassion.

Leader: We come to this table to share a meal, and to be given those same gifts from our
gracious God who loves us.

All: We come to worship the everlasting God.

Leader: Hear our prayer O God, as we pray.

All: We thank you, Lord God, for the Saints in our lives who have passed on the tradition of faith which celebrates compassion, mercy, love, forgiveness and kindness. Let us never forget them, especially Leeonia and Elise. By their energies this church continued and grew. Eternal God, high and holy, no piece of furniture can contain your glory or display the wonders of your love. May this table be used as a reminder that your grace and glory are for all. May this table remind us to work for justice and equality, and to offer a place at the table for all of your children. As we worship, let us worship gladly. Remembering all those Christians who have gone before us, may we follow as they followed, in the way, truth, and life of Jesus Christ, the head of the Church.
